Hennessy V.S. Julien Colombier Limited Edition is a 2020 artist collaboration pairing Hennessy’s standard V.S. Cognac with bottle artwork by French illustrator Julien Colombier, known for his intricate, densely layered natural imagery. V.S. (“Very Special”) is aged a minimum of two years in French Limousin oak. The cognac inside is identical to the standard Hennessy V.S. release.
Colombier’s fine-line illustration style — dense botanical and wildlife compositions — translates well to the Hennessy bottle format. As with Hennessy’s other artist collaboration editions, the collectible value is in the art; this is the same approachable, fruit-forward V.S. cognac that works well in cocktails or on ice.
